Bhakti Day

Bhakti Day

A Day of Music, Nature & Devotion

Every first Saturday of the month at Karuna, Lake Atitlán

✨ What is Bhakti Day?

Bhakti means devotion — the art of opening the heart through sound, song, and connection.

Once a month, our community gathers at Karuna to celebrate life in its simplest, most sacred form: singing together under the trees, sharing food from the earth, and remembering the joy of being alive.

Retreat schedule:

Morning — Kirtan Under the Trees
We begin with kirtan — devotional singing by the fire, surrounded by nature. Feel the vibration of mantras ripple through your being as the sun rises over the lake.

Midday — Permaculture Lunch Creation
Together, we prepare and share a meal from the land — nourishing, fresh, and cooked with intention.

Afternoon — Yoga for Musicians
A special yoga session designed to open your voice, body, and breath — supporting those who sing, play, and express through sound.

Evening — Mantra Circle, Sauna & Fire Ceremony
We close the day with more mantra, a wood-fired sauna, and an evening fire to release, recharge, and reconnect.
